Cementation

Paint blockage occurs when two freshly painted uncured surfaces are squeezed against each other. For example, two surfaces of doors and windows are squeezed together and bonded together.

Why does the oil paint stick or block ?

·Paint isn't allowed to dry or solidify sufficiently before closing doors and windows.

·Use inferior paint with poor adhesion resistance, especially in warm, humid conditions, because sometimes the paint will stick due to moisture.

·The surface of the new painted doors and windows isn't fully dried after being squeezed together, and will bond together through inadequacy.

·The old coating on the surface is too thick to give the moving surface enough space to move.

How to prevent paint adhesion

Adjust doors and windows to open and close correctly.

If they look thick, polish off any existing coating.

Use high-quality internal semi-gloss or glossy latex paint. With the time, these paintings will produce excellent adhesion resistance.

According to the instructions of drying time, the risk of completely-dry paint peeling is small due to adhesion problem.

How to repair old paint adhesion or blocking

Remove all loose paint and polish surface design.

Use a high-quality primer and paint the finishing coat to ensure that paint is applied in well-ventilated areas according to the recommendation for drying and curing times.
