Mycete/Mildew

One of the most common paint problems is mildew. Fungi are often mistaken for dirt deposits, which appear as black, gray, or brown discoloration on painted surfaces. There are many anti-mildew paintings on the market, but how do you remove the existing molds ?

Mycete live in humid environments with little exposure to sunlight, such as the warm and humid conditions, insufficient ventilation, poor surface pretreatment of substrate problems, excessive humid environment bathroom/kitchen.

The cause of mildew

As for the use of poor quality paint, these paints may not be prepared for mildew.

Painting is taken in humid and dark areas with little sunlight or dry air.

No primer is applied to the surface before painting.

Paint is taken on a substrate or coating without mold removal.

How to remove mold

Before taking steps to remove mold, you should make sure that the surface spots you see are actually mold. Clean and disinfect with household bleach, and wear rubber gloves before using bleach.

Gently scrub the surface with a sponge and brush.

After the bleaching agent is washed, rinse thoroughly with water.

Install vents and exhaust fans in environment where mold is prone to produce.

How to prevent mold

Use high-quality anti-mildew and antibacterial coatings, such as Covering Power and Alkali Resisitant

For indoors, mold-prone areas are as follows: installation of ceiling fans, exhaust fans or dehumidifiers in mold-prone rooms such as bathrooms, laundry rooms and kitchens.

For the outdoors, make as much sunlight as possible into the paint area, such as drip air conditioners, wrong sprinklers and leaky drains.

Recommended paints: Covering Power and Alkali Resisitant
